OUGD502 SB1 - Mohamed Samir

As I have obtained three different creative practitioners that work in the sector of editorial design that are all from Europe instead I desired to contact with someone who work in the field but a little further away from home, with the intention to see what the design industry is like in other countries and where it can differ to Europe and the USA...

Mohamed Samir;

On Behance I stumbled across Mohamed Samir and his work stood out to me instantly, the swiss clean editorial style that delivers a clean and professional aesthetic combined with the bright and vibrant colour scheme creates work of which stood out to massively and inspired me, I was also very interested in talking to him as I found out that he grew up in Egypt and now practiced design in Dubai and so to see what the design industry is like in that area of the work is something that fascinated me. Another things that drew me to him was the fact that rather than work for a studio out work as a free lance designer he instead work as the head in house designer at a communications company that work with underprivileged and third world countries and so to see what design can be like as part of a bigger organisation was also really attractive to me and so I contacted him, and very promptly he replied saying that he would love to help me with an interview.
