As a group we then decided that the next point of action in our groups would be to decide on a name on which we would build the studio as this would be necessary for the whole of the designing stages.
The initial step we took was to just generate random non-design related words through our own thoughts and a word generator of which we liked and could potentially see as the name of the studio. We decided to do this as nowadays in the modern design industry we found out that it isn't really relevant to have a design related title as a lot of very famous and successful studios names are totally random such as "The Hungry Sandwich Club" but we saw this as straying too far away from what we wanted the studio to represent and so we decided that it would be more appropriate to choose a name of which we like and also is related to the company.
Out of all of the other names we generated the one that stood out to us was Screen. This was because of the fact that it accurately represented the major side to the studio that we wanted to convey, firstly out on screen digital based design work and also that fact that we like to take work off the screen(digital) and put it on to the screen( Non Digital/Screen Printing) excuse the pun, and so this name 100% represents what the studio is about.
Although this name was perfect for us we wanted to alter it in a way that meant it was more personalised to us as a studio so we had the idea that we could add another three "e's" to the name so that there was five e's, one to represent each member of the team, we thought that this was also a good way that we could generate some extra emphasis in to the name through E related design work that would set us apart as creative individuals.
