Snask are a group of graphic designers and furthermore all sorts of creative practitioners who have their base in Stockholm, Sweden that specialise in branding and visual identity and animation design. While animation design is something that I am not very interested in branding and visual identity makes up the majority of what I can see my self doing as a designer in the future and therefore I believe they are a massive inspiration for me as their work is exactly what I strive be able to produce and deliver in the future. Another aspects that draws me to snack totally is the fact that they don't like to approach briefs like other studios, where I find other studios can appear very clean cut and sophisticated of which I don't believe id appropriate for a creative field like graphic design Snask challenge this but upholding a much more laid back and relaxed approach in which I think creativeness strives and therefore I am really attracted to them as a studio.
I emailed their director, Fredrik Pst asking for an informal talk about my work of which was great as he gave me so much feedback about it, I understand that we already get a lot of feedback in class from peers and tutors but the feedback from someone who doesn't know me at all and so only has my work to go on was very beneficial. Finally I asked them about an internship programme but they said that due to the amount of applicants at the minute there is a two and a half year waiting list and so it wouldn't be appropriate to really join the list as I don't know what I will be doing in two and a half years, although I was knocked back by this he did say that he would be part of my creative report by answering an interview for me and as this is someone that inspires me It will be very influential to find out about their journey as a designer.
